Your boat is identified by a unique number.
The CIN (Craft Identification Number) or HIN (Hull Identification Number) number is a distinctive mark with clear indications that is found on all CE approved boats since 1998. It is found on all 2.5 to 24-metre recreational boats sold in Europe.
Apart from administrative requirements, your dealer will also ask you for this number if you request spare parts and/or technical data.
Where can I find my boat’s CIN (HIN) number?
CIN/HIN numbers are fixed to the boat’s stern, usually on the starboard side of the stern transom. Depending on the model, they may be engraved on the port side of the upper hull section.
